Doerr Park Tot Lot Changes
2024 Update: The Tot Lot was supposed to close this Spring for replacement of all equipment. However, we have been informed by the City that the Doerr Tot Lot is still in the design phase. Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2024 with completion in Summer 2025.
2023: The City of San Jose will be updating the Tot Lot at Doerr Park and Doerr Neighborhood Association has asked that we be included in the planning stages for the new playground.Â
The city plans to have final construction documents done by Summer 2023, bids processed and awarded by Winter 2023, and construction will start by Feb 2024. Construction should be finished by late Summer or early Fall 2024. This also means that the tot lot will be completely shut down during construction in 2024.
