Junk Pickup
Click here to search by address for your trash hauler. The City of San Jose provides unlimited FREE junk pickup to residents. You must schedule an appointment and it is usually fastest to contact your trash hauler directly by phone. Use the link to search by address, then call them and schedule your appointment or you can use the 311 app to schedule. There are some restrictions on items that can be picked up. More info here.

Contact the City of San Jose via the 311 app to report potholes, streetlight outages, graffiti, abandoned vehicles, or illegal dumping, or to schedule garbage and recycling services such as junk pickup. https://311.sanjoseca.gov/
Sewer issues?
Contact the City of San Jose at first sight of anything coming out of a manhole or sewer line. Call (408) 794-1900 City response time is usually within an hour for sewer overflows.
Never put grease, cooking oil, or greasy foods down your drain. Instead, pour cooking oil or grease into a container and place it in the trash.
